Senior SCCM / MECM Specialist

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience upgrading SCCM to the latest MECM Current Branch
• Hands-on experience with:
  • In-place upgrades and rollback planning
  • Site hierarchy assessment and remediation
  • Primary Site Server management
  • Distribution Points (DP) upgrade and validation
• Strong experience in:
  • Environment cleansing (obsolete devices, users, collections, boundaries, packages, task sequences)
  • Client health remediation and cleanup
• Experience managing large enterprise environments (2,000+ endpoints preferred)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • MECM architecture and components
  • Boundary groups and content distribution
  • Client deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Experience preserving and validating co-management with Microsoft Intune
• Ability to plan and execute wave-based DP upgrades with minimal disruption
• Excellent communication Skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage upgrades of SCCM to the latest MECM Current Branch, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Perform in-place upgrades and develop rollback strategies in case of issues.
• Assess and remediate site hierarchy, including Primary Site Server management.
• Upgrade and validate Distribution Points (DPs) and manage content distribution efficiently.
• Cleanse the environment by removing obsolete devices, users, collections, boundaries, packages, and task sequences.
• Monitor, remediate, and maintain client health across the enterprise.
• Manage large-scale enterprise environments (2,000+ endpoints), ensuring stability and performance.
• Maintain strong knowledge of MECM architecture and components, including boundary groups and content distribution.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot MECM clients to ensure compliance and functionality.
• Ensure co-management with Microsoft Intune is preserved and validated after upgrades.
• Plan and execute wave-based DP upgrades to minimize downtime and service disruption.
• Collaborate with IT teams to provide guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer on MECM best practices.
