KalSoft is currently looking for an experienced General Application Support Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in providing business application support, troubleshooting application-related issues, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting business users, a good understanding of Windows Server environments, and familiarity with IT service management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level support for business applications, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot application-related incidents and coordinate with development or vendor teams for issue resolution when required.
  • Monitor application performance and availability to ensure business continuity.
  • Support end users by diagnosing and resolving application, configuration, and access-related issues.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments supporting business applications.
  • Perform routine application health checks and system monitoring.
  • Maintain user accounts, permissions, and application access in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures to support knowledge management.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, database, and development teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Participate in application deployments, upgrades, patching activities, and system maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Provide user guidance and technical support to business users.
  • Prepare regular support reports and communicate system status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application stability, performance, and support processes.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in providing business application support.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise applications and business users in a corporate environment.
  • Basic to intermediate experience in managing and supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting application, user access, and system-related issues.
  • Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Familiarity with application monitoring, log analysis, and issue diagnosis.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification will be considered an added advantage.
