About the Role

KalSoft is looking for a motivated Business Analyst/Solution Analyst to support the analysis, design, documentation, and implementation of technology solutions based on business requirements. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of business analysis, requirement gathering, process documentation, system integration, and software development lifecycle. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, QA teams, and other technical teams to support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from business users and stakeholders.
  • Understand business processes and translate requirements into clear functional and technical solution requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation including BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Work with development and technical teams to clarify requirements and support the implementation of proposed solutions.
  • Analyze existing business processes and systems to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and potential solutions.
  • Create process flows, workflows, wireframes, and basic solution diagrams using appropriate analysis and documentation tools.
  • Participate in requirement validation sessions, walkthroughs, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support QA teams by reviewing test scenarios and test cases to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue tracking, defect validation, and resolution coordination.
  • Coordinate with business users and technical teams to resolve functional issues and clarify system requirements.
  • Maintain requirement traceability and ensure approved requirements are properly documented throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, action items, project updates, issue logs, and other project-related documentation.
  • Support project teams during implementation, deployment, and post-production activities.
  • Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Ensure solutions and documentation are aligned with business requirements, project standards, and organizational processes.
  • Perform other analysis and coordination activities as required by the project.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience as a Solution Analyst, System Analyst, Functional Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of business and functional requirement gathering and analysis.
  • Experience preparing business and functional documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories, and process flows.
  • Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software project methodologies.
  • Good understanding of business process modeling and workflow documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, and system integration concepts is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, or similar documentation/process modeling tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
